Finally got to my 40th season after trudging along through all of the poor saps in Tarren Mill who can't seem to be able to run down to the corner store for a pint of baby livers. Ah well, whatcha gonna do? At least they pay well, along with all those suckers out there who buy my skins and herbs at a premium.

On that note, was able to afford an upgrade for bony butt. Got him painted and new drapes all around.

Pretty, ain't he?

Holy Monkeys

Just Dinged 29. I made this character but a few scant days ago. What the hell? Did leveling just get phenomenally easier, or was i just doing it wrong?
Happy Fire Festival. We burnt alot of things. Oh, and I reached my 25th season.

Tired, but accomplished.

Skill is a difficult thing to measure. Fortunately, my world has some very obvious delineations. Today, I gained about eight seasons of skill. I am almost ready to learn how to ride a horse. Won't that be exciting.

I found some new pieces of armor, and met some facinating people in the depths of caverns around Kalimdor. No pictures unfortunately, I'm not that steady a hand with sketching as it is and I was busy sticking my knives places that my targets would probably rather I didn't.

Close to 20th season. I may yet see the icy wastes of Northrend if I'm diligent.

I'm not sure why there are Orcs guarding the Undercity. Last I looked we had Abominations. Slightly less stinky and much more manageable.

A new beginning.

I was out picking flowers again, then the world went dark...I awoke with the dank smell of the sepulcher in Deathknell full in what remained of my nostrils.
"Not again..."
A emaciated form waited to direct me up the stairs and back out to what it barely a town. A hamlet, if you will, sprung up around this all important grave where the Forsaken tend to awaken.
"Go, speak to Shadow Priest Sarvis. He'll have work for you."
"Yeah, yeah. I've done this a million times. You always seem to say the same thing."
The step led up to the gloomy trees and rotten buildings of Deathknell. Been there, done that, but it felt...somehow different this time around.
A guard called out to me as I lurched past.
"You! Are you Kharbrydis?"
"Uh-huh." My eyebrow raised over an empty socket. "What of it?'
"Post for you today."
"What? I just woke up. Is this some kind of joke?"
"No idea, but there was a package waiting for you. Said to be on the lookout, since you were due to revive today and to have the package delivered into your hands before anything else happened."
"Odd." I took the package and sat right down on the ground to dig into it. It's not everyday you get a death-day present from a stranger. "Hmm, there's a note"
Dear Kharbrydis,
I hope this finds you in as good a health as your kind tends to have. I hope that these daggers and the armor help you with making the long trek to Northrend and beyond.
your pal,
Nibbies
"Who left this?"
"No one saw anything, it just appeared"
"Well, never look a gift horse in the mouth, good way to get your fingers bitten"
I pulled on the armor and affixed the worn shoulder pads to my scrawny frame. The daggers had a comfortable, well broken in feel to the handles. They were also razor sharp and emitted a soft greenish glow that spoke of enchantment.
"Yeah." I said quietly to myself, "I think that these are gonna do just fine"

Trying this Again

(totally OOC. Last time, I promise)

Seems that life got ahead of me again. The lives of the Cogsprings and a sundry friends have moved on and gotten to new and interesting places. Instead of starting a new blog, I think I'll just dust this one off and find out if I can stick with a new Forsaken character.

I seem to have trouble with playing Horde, I'm wondering what'll happen if I try getting serious about it with all of the recent changes, most importantly, the addition of Heirloom items that improve experience gain from kills and quest turn ins.

In any case, we're trying out the whole blog Warcraft experience, though this time is likely to be punctuated by alts, and real life as I move on toward bigger and better things.
